almost every department of the game
and never making yarduge, Portland
Academy won over Lincoln High
school yesterdny afternoon on Mult
nomah field, by 14 to 0. the lartawt

on. In the Interscholastic league.
The contest was replete with sen
sational features, Cobb and Wilson
furnishing the most spectacular
events, when they intermitted for
ward pas-os, as the High school was
about to score, and sprinted the
length of the field fur touchdowns.
Each run was a meat surprise, and
the Academy rooters went joy mad,
as they had rather expected to be de
feated. Lurk seemed to have a little
grudge against the High school play
ers, and fumbles did the rest. Time
and again, by superb line bircking
and end runs, the High school march
ed down the field to within striking
distance of the Academy goal line,
only to lose the ball through fumbles
and poor passes and have their ad
vantages turned to scores for Port
land Academy.
