The fair to be given unaer the aus
pices of Springfield grange will be
held in Springfield at the Odd Fel
lows' hall on Friday, October 2!t.
It is hoped that there will be a
large dlBplay of fruits, vegetables, ce
reals, art, needlework, old time relics,
culinary products and anything in
general of interest to the people of
Lane county. Certificates and rib
bons will be awarded to those who
have the best and finest products of
their kind on exhibition.
The fruit and vegetable depart
ment will be In the care of Mrs. La
Rue and Mrs. Stewart.
All exhibits in these departments
should be In the hail some time dur
ing Thursday so as to be placed In po
sition and proper records made of the
same.
The culinary department will be
in care of a competent person. Ex
hibits in this department should be
in the hall not later tban 9 a. m. on
Friday.
