Dead wood. July 20. H. M. Price, .

here getting everything ready to be
gin work blasting out a new road
around Cape Horn, which will be a i

seems to be lighter this year than
usual.
Mr Twir hc hla Indian Creek
road open now so he can get In and I
out with his wagon.
The Corvallis creamery Is yet tak
ing out lots of cream from these
parts. .
The people in these parts are
planting lots of kale and rutabagas
and such things as that for cow feed.
Several are complaining of bad
colds and la grippe, which is going
the rounds here.
C. Pope has moved to the upper
lake ranch with his wife.
Cattle are looking fine now, espec
ially range stock.
We have had more rain than usual
this summer, making it hard to get
hay cured without getting wet.
For shampooing te
hair, Ivory is the ideal
soap.
A white soap, it yields
a snow white lather, a
lather that cleans the
hair but does not change
its color.
Containing no "free"
aikali, it can be used
without fear that it will
make the hair brittle.
