Unless It's a GOOD
Store It Will NOT
Pay To Advertise It!
Unless you know a person
unless that person comes into
your life iu some way yo.; ore
not greutiy concerned about
whether he is good or bad, de
sirable or objectionable.
It's so with a store. The peo
ple who never visit it care noth
ing about it one way or the oth
er. It doesn't erlst for them.
But when they are persuaded to
patronize it when they come
to turn the sotllg!it of tlieir at
tention on it when it comes
to have a part in their lives, as
some stores miiHt have In all
lives then UV different; then
it does matter whether it strives
to win confidence; it does mat

good store must stand when it
is advertised when it thus in

people tneu advertising will
"make" the store. If it falls in
most ot the vital tilings if it
proves, under tlie light of pub
licity not to be much of a store,
THEX ADVERTISING WILL
NOT PAY for it will empha

For these same reasons It is
generally assumed that the,
store which does not advertise
Is seeking to avoid close inspec

the store which doea la court
