A meeting of the legal voters of
Florence school district was held in
the 8choolhouse Saturday afternoon,
ten freeholders being present.
The clerk presented an estimate of
the expenses of the district for the
school year, also the probable re
ceipts from the state and county,
showing that about seven hundred
dollars besides the apportionment of
public funds, Is needed to support
the high school during the last half

to North Fork, as originally located,
went over the route yesterday. Mr.
Itehnke Informs us that the commit
tee are unanimously in favor of a new
survey, and think the road should fol
low around the hill only n short dis
tance above high water In the river.
