JOHN.D. NOT
ORIGINATOR OF
STANDARD TRUST
The hands on tho big Y. M. O. A. clock on the Hovey building
Doint to the thirty-five thousand dollar mark this afternoon.
The soliciting teams at noon today reported a total of $3539.50
subscribed today, raising the grand total to $34,030.85. This is
encouraging but the committees in charge of the work fool that
from now on it will be harder work than the first six days of the
campaign. It is true that there are several substantial subscrip
tions in sight that have not yet been securod, but these will not
by any means raise the total up to the required $50,000 or any
where near it. Some strenuous work will have to bo done to se
cure the amount, but the members of the several teams are de
termined that success shall crown their efforts and will labor un
ceasingly.
It is requested that every person who has subscribed to the
fund should wear his ribbon. Those who have not been seen by
the committees and who desire to subscribe to the fund should
call at headquarters or phone in their subscriptions. Tomorrow
a number of the teams will be out in automobiles in order to fa
cilitate their work. Following is the report made at noon to
day:
Team No. 3, $500; No. 4, $110; No. 5, $682.50; No. 6,
$525; No. 7, $140; No. 9, $600; No. 10, $411; No. 11, $510;
No. 12, $40; No. 13, $70; No. 20, $51. Total, $3530.50
Previously reported, $31,301.35." Grand total, $34,030.85.
