SISTER DUG UP
BODY OF HER
MISSING BROTHER
MarenKO. 111.. Nov. 11. Haunted
night and day by a presentiment
that her brother had been brutally
murdered and then burled a fear
that robbed her of her sleep lor two
weeks, and during her waking hours
drove her to the verge or Insanity,
Arvilla Hoganson, took a shovol and
frantically threw up the earth In a
spot where her premonition had tak
en her, and finally, exhausted, drove
the blade into the body of her broth

John Betford farm, which adjoins
the Hoganson place, mukhummi
appeared two weeks ago. His sla
ter immediately began making in
quiries regarding his whereabouts
but no trace of him could be found.
Then It was -a strange foreboding
took possession of Her. Night and
day the vision of her brother lying
cold in death beneath the earth
haunted her.
Makes Horrible Discovery.
After three days of anxiety and
fruitless worry, the sir''" unaccount
able presentiment took tangible
shape and with a garden spade she
hurried to the Hetford chicken yard
Alone and working with feverish
haste, the girl dug Into the soft
earth Three feet below the surface
the sharp blade struck Into the
brothers bod v. and the girl, scream
ing with terror, dropped unconscious
beside the grave. Here the neigh
bors found her. Officers were Im
mediately notified and Hoganson s
remains exhumed.
This occurred two days ago. Since
then Hetford has been arrested In
Nebraska ond charged with murder
i-.i.,.. tho neriff and a force of
workmen began digging In the chick
en lot in search of further evidence
acainst the man under arrest. It Is
the belief of the authorities tha
manv bodies will be found buried
on the Betford farm and In the vi
cinitv, and that a series of murder,
similar to the Gunness case will be
brought to ngni.
