; The conditions and causes which produce Rheumatism all suggest a
healthful vegetable remedy as the surest and safest cure. The disease is
brought about by the accumulation of uric acid, an irritating, pain-producing
property in the blood. This causes a weakening and souring of the circula
tion which then becomes unfit for nourishing the body, while the deposits'
ol uric acid in the nerves, muscles, joints and bones produce the pain and
agonv of Rheumatism. Tonreat the trouble with medicines containing pot
ash or other strong minerals, is simply adding another poison to the already
weak, diseased blood, sapping it of its remaining vitality, and perhaps in
the end making a physical wreck ( the sufferer. The one safe and enly cure
for Rheumatism is 3. S S. It is nature's remedy for this disease, made
entirely from healthful vegetable ingredients extracted from the roots, herbs
and barks of the forest and fields. S. S. S. goes down into the blood and
removes every trace of the cause of Rheumatism, cleanses aad purifies the
circulation, and restores health and comfort to those who are suffering from
this painful disease. There is but ome way to be sure you are not dosing
your system with mineral medicines, and that is to take S. S. S. Book on
Rheumatism and any medical advice free. '

COLLEGIATE WRESTLING
IS BEING CONSIDERED
0. A. C. Is Taking the Lead in
the Movement Among
Northwest Colleges.
Wrestling will become one of the
main intercollegiate forms of compe
tition this winter aad. In succeeding
years, If the plans of Edgar Prank,
president of the P. N. A. and chair
man of Indoor athletics at the Mult
nomah elnb, are carried out, says
the lelegram. Mr. Frank Is the best
amateur wrestler In the Nortbwest,
and has held the 125-pound cham
pionship of the coast for three
years.
He has made the sport popular In
Portland, and last week he wrote
to the six conference colleges offer
ing to assist them In every way if
they wished to. take up the sport.
Ho received replies from O. A. C,
W. S. C. and Oregon this morning
and each is favorable to the propo
sition,' although no official actloD
has been taken In the matter.
Professor Angel says that O. A.
C. will take the matter right up
and Invite Oregon, Whitman, Wash
ington, Idaho and W. S. C. to form a
wrestling league. The college wrest
ling season comes at the close of foot
ball and lasts until baseball. The
football men then can go into wrest
ling or basketball.
Trainer jnayward understands the
wrestling game very weil. In case
a league or meet of some kind Is
formed, he would probably train
the Oregon men. . There Is very good
material here.
