Morton. Mr. Morton and fmnilv will
remove to Eugene. Mr. Moore has

Goo. M. Miller, the Eugene real es
tate dealer, has purchased the V. II
Smith farm, containing 6S0 acres.
His nephew, of Ynklma. Wash., will
farm the place for a few years. Lat
er it is Mr. Miller's Intention to cut
the farm up into small tracts. This is
a splendid piece of property, being
nearly all bottom land.
F. C. Sly. of this place, bought the
.Tohn Buoy farm, containing about
200 acres, for $4600. It was sold
yesterday at public auction. Mr. Sly
has acquired a valuable piece of prop
erty. It joins A. Shnfer'8 60 acres of
young orchard, for which he recomly
refused $12,000.
Henry Varsen has purchased three
lots of S. A. McKay at an ndvance
of $100 above the price Mr. McKay
purchased them for a few months
ago. Town property, us well as coun
try properly, is rapidly increasing In
value here. In spite of calamity howl
ers and election. Mr. Varsen intends
to put up a handsome residence next
spring.
John R. Scott, proprietor of hte
Central Hotel, killed a four-prong
buck Thursday, which was one of
the largest ever brought to town. It
dressed nearly 150 pounds.
