They left Portland on Saturday, Oct.
2 4. They will go to San Francisco,
from there to Salt Lake City, on to
Denver, thence to St. Louis, on to
Chicago, from there to Grand Rapids,
and Detroit, Michigan; leaving these
cltlb they mo to Philadelphia, then
to Portland, Maine, leaving from that
city for New York, Besides these
stops of more than unusual Interest,
they will make some of the lesser.
After a stop In New York City of
some time In order to recuperate,
they wltt set sail for London, Eng
land, and after visiting all the Eur
opean capitals, they will continue on
to China, and Japan that mysterious
land of the far east. Hong Kong,
China, and Tokio, Japan, will be vis
ited while in both tiiese countries.
Philippines and Hawaiian Islands will
be their next and last stopping place
before sailing for homo. They will
take steamer for home and. will ar
rive at Portland by way of San Fran
cisco. The trip will occupy about two
years' time. Accounts of the trip
