stump In behalf of the Bryan and
Kern ticket in Indiana, New Jersey,

Samuel G. Cosgrove, the Republi
can candidate for governor of the
State of Washington, is sixty-one
years old and a civil war veteran. He
was born in Ohio and spent his early
life on a farm in Defiance county in
that State. In 1882 he settled In
Washington and has since been en
gaged In farming and In the practice
of law. In both of which pursuits he
nas been successful from the finan
cial standpoint.
