    .BLOGB HUMORS
The skin is not simply an outer covering of fte body, hut through it
thousands of pores and glands it performs the great and necessary work sf
regulating our temperatures, and also assists in disposing of the f utw tnrl
waste matters of the system by the constant evaporation tliit.gur am
through these little IMbea. To perform these duties the ti.dix ad ixy
which connect and surround the pores and glands must b ctially mmtr
ished byTfure blood. When from any cause the circuUtioa become iafwiad
with impurities and humors, it loses its strengthening powers a4 bviad to
disease and irritate the delicate tissues, and produces Icmii, Ac, Tatter,
or some other itching, disfiguring skin trouble. S. S. S. cures skin diseases
of every kind by going down into the circulation and neutralizing and remov
ing the impurities and humors. It changes the quality of the blood from an
acrid, fiery fluid to a cooling, health-producing stream, which, instead of
irritating and inflaming the skin, cures and nourishes it by its soothing,
healthful qualities. Salves, washes, lotions, etc.. may be used for any tem
porary comfort or cleanliness they afford, but skin diseases cannot lie cured
until S. S. S. has purified the blood. Boole on Skin Diseases and any med
ical advice ent free. THE SWIFT SPECIFTC CO.. ATLANTA. GA.

FIVK THOUSAND BALKS
HAVK 11KKX SOLI)
In spite of the apparent quietness
of the hop market, supplies are pas
sing out of first hands at quite a rap
id rate, says the Oregonian. A con
servative estimate of the total sales
In the past week is 5000 bales. As
the crop is light and previous con
tracting took a large portion of the
sujiply off the market, the surplus
available probably not over 30,000
bales cannot last long if the buying
continues at the same rate as in the
last few days. However the demand
now Is for the best grades and the
poorer hops are neglected. For such
choice selections 7 to 7 Ms cents is
being paid. The Oregon market is
like all the other markets of the
world in one respect, choice hops are
firm and the lower grades very
weak.
The heaviest operations In the
state are credited to Klaber & Netter.
It Is reported that their purchases In
the last three days amounted to ov
er 3000 bales. A good many small
lots taken on by other dealers are
understood for their account.
