Mrs. Sarah Durnnt Matlock died
at tho homo of her daughter, Mrs.
H. M. Pratt, at 30 East Tenth street,
Kugene, Sunday, September 27, 1008,
at 3 n. ill., after a long Illness. The
j funeral was held at the residence this
I afternoon at 2 o'clock and tho re
mains interred In the 1. O. O. V. cem

She was married to William II. I)u

children were boru to them, but on
ly one, Mrs. Trait, Is now livlns.
With three children Mr. and
Mrs. Durnnt enme to Ore
gon and settled In Ku
gene In 1X74. Mr. lliirant died on
June IB, 1SS7.
Decensed was a member of the
Kastern Star. W. K. c., tin Itehec
kahs and the Methodist church hav
ing nulled with the church when she
was 15 years of age. She lived a
sweet and consistent chris
tian life, and was beloved
by all who knew her. She was
a long sufferer hut always bore her
affliction with patience and forti
tude, never complaining. The com
munity will sadly miss her.
