'Portland, Sept. 12. At a meeting
of the board of regents of the State
University 'held In this city este.-dn,-a

salaries of the faculty from Presi
dent Campbell down was voted. The
most important Item of business in
addition to this was the approval of
the recommendation of the land com
mittee that about 35 more acres of

The board also voted to accept and
take advantage of the "bonding act"
relative to the assessment for paving
and street improvements on Eleventh
street.
