of meetings in a number of cities.
The campaign will extend from tne.
Atlantic to the Pacific. i
On Sundav the meetings w ill be
Inaugurated in the .Maratime Prov-,
inces. The holding of institute in
Halifax and St. John will be followed ,
by similar gatherings In Hamilton,
London. Montreal. Ottawa, Winni
peg, Vancouver, Calgary, Keglna, To
ronto and Kingston. The general
character of the meetings will be the
same In each centre. They win in
clude a laymen's dinner, a series of
meetings or conferences, at wnicn
the conditions and needs of mission
work at home and abroad will be
fully presented and practically dis
cussed, and suggestions will be given
as to organization and methods for
introducing and snn-ading the wors
and Inspiration of the Laymen's Mis
sionary Movement throughout the en
tire country.

batle of Brandy wine, where on Sep
tember 1 1, 1777, for the first time
the Continental army carried the
Stars and Stripes Into battle. The
customary celebration of the anni
versary has been deferred until to

tary display on the battlefield and
memorial exercises In which repre
sentatives of the various patriotic
and historical societies will have a
