IN HOTEL ROOM
Portland. Sept. 3. A Telegram
special dispatch from Spokane savs
that Mrs. W. L. Vinson, of Baker
City, was attacked in her room in the

who entered her room by the fire es
cape. The flash of his electric lan
tern awoke the woman and he
screamed, when he struck her on the
head with the lantern and rendered
her unconscious. The man escaped.
The woman is in a dangerous condition.
