TENT THIS AFTERNOON
Despite the showery weath
er there was a great crowd In
Barnum & Bailey's circus
tent this afternoon. Their
press representative says it
was over 10,000 and might
reach 1 1,000, although there
did not seem to be a very
large crowd for a circus day
in tile streets. They report
having done a big business at
Salem, but were as disap
pointed at Albany as they
are pleased with Eugene. Two
of the five Ringllng Brothers,
who own the show, John and
Otto, are here today, the lat
ter traveling with It all the
while, and the former hav
Hng his private car attached
to the train temporarily.
There will be another perfor
