TWO PERFORMANCES
0, CIRCUS HERE
Frank J. O'Donnell, press repre
sentative of the Barniim and Bailey
circus, arrived in Eugee this after
noon. This great circus will appear
in Eugene on Saturday, August 29,
and will give two performances, one
in the afternoon and the other in the
evening. This is a departure from
the ordinary. For several years past
the big shows have been cutting out
the evening performance here on ac
count of the long jump to Medford,
the next show town south of here,
but the Barnum and Bailey aggre
gation will skip Medford this year
and jump from Eugene to Keddlng,
Cal.
Mr. O'Donnell speaks In the high
est praise of the circus he represents
and says that In all Its fifty-four
years of world travel it has never
been so interesting nor ho big as it Is
this season. This Is partly due to
the fact, that the Barnum and Bailey
maagument has resumed Its former
policy and Is now giving the most
splendid parade that any circus ever
presented.
Cages, dens, chariots, tableau vans,
Jlnriklshas, thrones, howdahs all
