has seen In many years was begun
todav when the will of Benjamin
Hart, the American who died in Par

at several million dollars came up for

probably be unfolded a tale-of free

judicious Investments in New York

Gabrlolle Josephine Luechesi, who af

French diplomat, Jean Gulllemtn.

To make the situation more com

FAMOUS BATTLE GROUND
- CAMP MEETING OPENS
Lafayette, Ind, July 30: The
thirty-fourth annual session of the
famous battle ground camp-meeting,
under the auspices of the Northwest
Indiana M. E. Conference, opened to
day under conditions that promise
one of the most successful assemblies
in the history of the organization.
The crowd of visitors on hand Is al
ready of such proportions as to tax
the hotel and cottage accomodations
at the grounds. A ten days' pro
gramme has been arranged. It Is out
of the ordinary in one respect, in that
no professional evangelists will take
part. The speakers will be confined
entirely to prominent divines and lay
men of the Northwest Indiana Con
ference. ' BEST THE WORLD AFFORDS.
"It gives me unbounded pleasure
to recommend Bucklen's Arnica
Salve," says J. W. Jenkins of Chapel
Hill, N. C. "I am convinced it's the
best salve the world affords. It cured
a felon on my thumb, and it never
falls to heal every sore, burn or
wound to which It Is applied. 25c at

JS SITUATED close to the cfty limits on the Southwest only a short distance
beyond the Fair Grounds. It adjoins the large tract purchased by J. O.
Storey, president of the Portland, Eugene & Eastern R. R., which indicates
that it will be in close proximity to the electric road . system in the near
future. It is bounded by a county road on two sides, and lies beautifully, sloping
gently to the northwest, which gives it perfect drainage.
