SCROFULA INHERITANCE
OF DISEASE AND SUFFERING
No truth is more forcibly manifested in physical life than the old saying
like begets like for just as the offspring of healthy ancestry are blessed
with pure, rich blood, insuring health and strength, so the childien of blood
tainted parentage inherit a polluted circulation to burden their existeSee
with disease and sufferin?. Swollen elands about the neck, brittle bones,
weak eyes, pale, waxy complexions, running sores and ulcers and general
poor health, are the usual ways in which Scrofuja is manifested. In some
cases the blood is so filled with the scrofulous germs and tubercular matter
that from birth life is made miserable with suffering. Others who inherit
"the disease succeed in holding the trouble in check during young, vigoious
life, but when the system has begun to weaken and lose its natural vitality,
and especially after a spell of sickness, the ravages of the disease will com
mence, and in a great many cases terminate in Consumption. S. S. S. is the
- very best treatment for Scrofula. It renovates the entire circulation and
drives out me scroiuious ana moerruiai
deposits. S. S. S. is the greatest of all blood
purifiers, and it not only goes to the very
bottom of the trouble and removes the :aiis
and cures the disease, but it supplies th
weak, anaemic blood with the healthful
properties it is in need of. S. S. S. is mad
entirely of healing, cleansing roots, herbs
and barks, and is an absolutely safe remedy for young or old. Book on
the blood and any medical advice about Scrofula eiven free of charge.

Eugene, Oregon, June 22, 'OS.
We. the undersigned physicians of
Eugene, being conversant with the
use of anti-toxlne In the treatment
of asthma, submit for the informa
tion of the public the following state
ment: The use of diptherla anti-toxlne In
asthma began about three years ago.
The discovery of Its value came about
by giving the remedy to asthmatics
who were also affected with dipthe
rla. il'pon recovery from diptheria.
after Injection with anti-toxlne It was
found that they were cured of 'asth
ma. Since that time the remedy has
been used In hundreds of cases of
asthma all over the world.
At the last meeting of the Oregon
State Medical society, at Seaside, a
prominent physician of Oregon read
a paper on the treatment of asthma
by anti-toxin wherein he cited 60
cases that he had treated; without a
laiamy anu wun almost uniformly
good results. In the discussion that
followed a dozen or more cases were
reported by prominent physicians of
the state, with the same result and
without a single fntality. Since that
time many physicians all over the
state have been using anti-toxin In
the treatment of asthma, and usually
with good results. It Is now in com
mon use by physicians everywhere
for said disease, and the results seem
to justify the treatment.
We feel that Pr. PeBar deserves
no censure for the unfortunate result
In the Vlrkers case, us In our opin
ion he used nn authorized remedy In
a manner sanctioned by a widespread
professional experience.
It should be remembered that In
the use of nnasthettes -and other most
vajnable remedies an occasional fa
tality results. Notwithstanding this,
thes remedies nro in constant use
by the most enlightened and most
conservative physicians the world
over.
