The rooniB were elaborately decorat
ed In red, white and blue. In keeping1
with the near approach of Memorial;
Day, the decorations consisting of red
peonies, snowballs, flags and a lib
erty bell which hung In the doorway
between tfiie parlors. Whist was the
evening's amusement, the score cards
of which were very unique. They
were crescent shaped cards represent
ing watermelon inside, and each ;
point was awarded with a little,
