church of Salisbury, was stubbed
twice with a imeket knife and per
haps fatally Injured In a church this
morning by Joseph Schuette, a pros
perous farmer, living near hure, who
Ib believed to have become suddenly
demented.
The stabbing occurred In front of
400 worshippers, many of them wo
men. The Injured priest was taken
to a nearby residence, where his
wounds were attended to by physi
cians. Ills condition Is critical.
