heavy frost of last Friday night did
some damage to the cherry and pear
crops of the lower valley, and the full
extent of the damnge is not yet de
termined, reports in today aru to the
effect that the apple crop In the vi
cinity of Medford is not Injured, and
In the great staples of liartlett and
Comlco jtears the damage Is but tri
fling In the majority of orchards, al
though here anil there some or
chards have been thinned too much.
There will be still a fairly good crop
of cherries nnd peaches and bottom
soil and a fine crop on high lands.
