GENE. David Parmnter, the old soldier,
who forfeited his hall at the last term
of circuit court by not appearing for
trial on the charge of bigamy, has
been located at Omaha, and Deputy
Sheriff C. C. Hammond left on this
morning's train for that city to bring
him back.
Since Parmenter's departure Sher
iff Flak has been on the lookout for
any news concerning his whereabouts
and thinking he would go to Omaha,
where he formerly resided, requested
the officers tr look for him. The
sheriff received a wire Saturday
stating that he had been found and
that he had been placed In custody.
Deputy Hammond at once began
preparations for the trip back there
a'nd went to Salem this morning to
Becure requisition papers from Gov
ernor Chamberlain. He will then
proceed to Lincoln to get the signa
ture of he governor of Nebraska and
then ;go to Omaha to get his pris
oner. Parmentor Is the man. It will be
remembered, who married again be

divorce, lie having lieard that she was

matrimonial career without having

within a few days. It will be com

A new Davement. the Hassam, is
attracting a good deal of attention,
and a trial of it will be made in Port
land. It is being used a good deal in
Germany, and it is said that ninety
per icent of the pavement being laid
In Massachusetts now is Hassam. Its
cost is fifteen per cent less than other
pavements.
