at 3 o'clock this morning, lie had
been unconscious for the previous 4 S I
hours, and death was momentarily ex-1
pectcd by his relatives. The funeral
will take place at Heppner on Thurs
day, interment being In the Heppner
cemetery.
Sir. Conser was born In Marion
county.. this state, in VS."i,"i. His fa
ther was on of th pioneers In the
flouring mill business, having estab
lished a plant at Jefferson when
wheat-raisins was lir Its Infamy In
ihe Willamette valley. In IS90 Mr.
Conser married Miss Lillian Ft hen,
daughter of C. A. linen, one of the
early settlers of what Is now Morrow
ciunty. Mr. lihea Is president of
Ihe bank of which his son-in-law was
ashler ever since its organization.
Dec -ased has two brothers in Port
land, V. S. i Shan) and 11. r. Con
ser. and a sister. Mrs. U. O. Thomas,
at Turner, Oregon.
