"A decided hit" was the verdict of
New York critics In their reviews of
"The Gingerbread Man," the musical
fantasy which Nixon and Zimmerman
will present at the Eugene theatre on
Thursday evening, January 30, Full
to overflowing with the best efforts
of Frederick Hanken, who wrote the
lyrics, and A. Baldwin Bloane, whose
melodies hare been whistled and annf
for years, redolent of the good cheer
of Chrlstmasttde, the merry Jingle
of sleigh belli and the coming of
Santa Claus, It appeals to all classes
and condition!. Nixon ft Zimmerman
have selected a cast Including Evelyn
Kellogg, Mabel Day, Nellie Rice, Rosa
Snow, Oarrlck Major, Mred Nice, Jas.
McElbern, Percy Wataon, Lute Vroh-
man, Bert Lovoy, Annie Dresslor,
Fannie Msrtlne, Fred Wall, -Frank
Mansrield, Ed nines and many others,
with a big singing chorus of 40 in
dividual beauties. The scenic en
vironment la superb, and la the same
as was presented at the Liberty thea
tre, New York city, during Its long
run thore, and Introduceso us senes
that our youthful Imaginations have
seen In the days gone by, when Jack
Horner, Margery Uaw, Blmplo Hlmon,
Bailie Lunn. Kris Krlngle, etc., were
our only heroes and heroines.
