The social gatherings of the week
have been few and si uttered, and of
a very Informal nature. Mrs. F. W.
Osburn and Mrs. K. O. I'oltor have

Saturday evening and on Wednes
day afternoon they entertained at
cards, while on Friday a number of
ladles were Invited In to spend the
afternoon at needlework.
Mrs. H. Welch was hostess on
"Wednesday afternoon to twelve lad
les, at her home on Kant Seventh
Street. Tho guests were received nt
the door by little Miss Jean Welch,
daintily attired In a cream colored
dress. Pine needles, roso buds and
chrysanthemums formed the pretty
decorations In tho two living rooms,
while tho dining room was arranged
with marguerites, ferns and white
chrysanthemums. Mrs. Abu Gilbert
assisted Mrs. Welch In serving an el
aborate four-course luncheon. Tho

church at dinner, on last Saturday
evening. Hev. Folsome, tho state
Sunday senool missionary, was tho
guest of honor. This dinner was the
first step toward tho organization of
a Men's Club. The tables were very
prettily arranged and the ladles
served a bountiful repast to the large
number present.
The Thursday Afternoon Club met
