Siuslaw Lamber Company.

last Wednesday and Thursday raised
the river the highest It baa been thin
season. Thursday morning by eight
O'clock the river was full of logs and
continued so until dark, and some
were still running Friday morning.

a heavy loss to tbe boom company or
tbe mills.
The high water flooded Acme and

eling In Mapleton, as the streets were
flooded so deep that sidewalks were
either under water or washed awoy.
There was but little loss uslilo from
tbe washing away of walks and fen
ces. We bear of some rancehnrs who
have lost some slock by drowning,
but no heavy I oh of this kind has
been reported.
