Salem, Dec. 21. Henry Hose was
hanged today for the murder of
Madge Doyle in a Portland lodging
house. Hose, who was an ex-sol-dler,
cut the woman's throat with a
nwor because he ared she would
discard him for another.
The murder was a particular' 'fil
ial one, the man having djsv hi
wife in Montana to follow the Doyle
woman and then in a fit of Jealousy
cut Iter throat. For the first time In
years no petition was sent to the
governor asking for executive clein
necy, as Hose expressed himself as
anxious to expiate his crime In order

Hums admitted that Jenn I.oupy, one

told he had not testified truthfully
before the grand Jury, and wanted
