ing was attended by fifteen presidents,
deans and profesaora of a doz9n West
ern Oiegou eduoatlonal) Institutions,
among whom were President P L
Campbell of the U O. The committee
was composed of Prof J B Horner, of
OAC; Principal SB Johnston, of
Fortlaud j Prof VV H MoCall, of Wil-
lamettee University ; President P L
Campbell, of University of Oregon;
Prof 11 L, Bate, of Forest Orove.
The sense of the resolution adopted
Is as follow :
First That it Is not advisable at
present to enter upon any formal or
ganlzitlon.
Seooud The president or prlnoipil
shall osrllfy t j the bona fide student
standing of all members of teams at
least fl re days before playing of any
game. A bona Site student shall be a
student taking not less than 12 periods
of reoltatlons per week.
Third No new student shall be al
lowed to partlolpate in any Intercolle
giate or lntersoholastlo game who has
not been entered as a student at least
two weeks prior to the game.
Fourth No person having bean a
member of a school or oollege atbletio
team during any year and having been
in attendance less than one oollego
half year shall be permlttbd to play In
any Interooileglate or Intersoholastio
oontest thereafter until he shall have
been in atteudanooalx oon seen live cal
endar months.
Fifth No student must be Influenced
to leave one aohool fpr another.

Le Roy Mine Officers Chosen.
The animal stotkholdere' meeting of
the L.e Boy Mining Company convened
at Conine Grove Thursday and elected
the following directors for the ensuing
year: A D Le Boy, DtLW Brown,
J L Le Boy, W O Johnson and Dr
George Wall. The new officers' will
cot be Installed until November 1. At
that time they will eleet a president,
vioe-presldent, secretary and treasurer.
It Is stated that there will be a slight
change In the offloers, as three new
directors were put in this time. Their

the Crystal Company's property, and

A Wolf Killed.
Dr Henry Hopkins while ou. hunt
ing today ou the south tljps of Spen
cer's Butte killed a gray timber wol
whloh bt brought to town tbia after
noon. The animal measures
about six feet from nose to tip
of tall. Dr Hopkins killed it
with a shot gnn. It Is said , the wolf
has been playing faavoo with sheep In

Fell to Their Death.

sky, a French aeronaut, and
his companion, M Morin, fell
to their death from an airship
this morning.
The start from the ground
was made successfully, tho
aeronaut apparent having
complete control of the ma
chine. They arose some dis
tance and sailed about, for
ward and backward, up and
down, for an hour, a largo
throng of spectators watching
the evolutions.
Suddenly when at a height
of several hundred feet the
car in which the aeronauts
rode was seon to part from
the airship.
It fell to the ground with
frightful rapidity. Bradsky
and Morin were instantly
killed, their bodieB being
crushed almost beyond rec
ognition.
