At the last seaslon of tlie legislature
a new law was passed In regard to tlie
collection of tux, which law took of
feet on December let, HHJI, and In sub
stance la aa follow :
1, If you pay jour taxes on or bo
fore Mnroh 15th you will be allowed a
relate of three per cent.
2, If you pay your taxes between
Moron 16th and up to and Including
tbe Unit Monday In April there will
not be any reimtii and neither will
there lie any penalty or Interest
added.
8. If your taxes are not paid od or
before the first Monday of April, they
will become dollnq'icnt, when there
will lie added a penalty of 10 per cent,
and the tax will also draw Interest at
the rate of 12 percent per annum la
addition to the penalty
i. If you pay one-half of your taxe
on or before the first Monday In April
then the remaining half may run up
to and Including the tint Monday In
Ootober following; but If the last half
of tax due la not paid by the first Mon
day of Ootober, It becomes delinquent,
and there will beadiled Inauuh balance,
a penally of 10 per cent, and In acid I
tlou, such balance will bear Interest at
the rute of 11! pur cent per annum from
the II rut Monday In April until
paid.
