for more than five hours in mid
ooean with her sister ship, the
Umbria. Long before either ship
sighted the other, their oommanders
were conversing by the Maroonl
wireless system. The position of
eaoh ship was known on the other

The Etruria left Liverpool on
December 7, the same day the
Umbna steamed out of New York.
