Workmen are rushing the work on
the Interior finishings of the new Eu
gene Loan A Havings Bank building,
and W E Brown, president of the
bank, says they will commeuoe mov

through the building today. The
woodwork is entirely of polished oak
and together with the steel celling,
tinted in an ertlstio manner, presents
a handsome appearance. The steam
radiators are all.ln position and band
somely painted, the vault Is ready to
receive its treasure, the outslds doors
of heavy oak are being put in and
nearly everything Is in readiness for
the Installing of the fixtures and fur
niture which will be of the latest and
most up-to-date pattern obtainable.
The Band Concert.
A Q card reporter had the pleasure
ble privilege the other evening of lis
tening to a rehearsal of the Fourth
Regiment band under the direction of
Prof I M Glen. The band baa been prac
ticing every night for two weeks past
getting in trim for their oonoert
tomorrow nluht, and the efflolenoy
wbioh they have attained In making
Buoh rapturous musio will be a
revelation to our maay people who
will attend the oonoert. Bom of the
heaviest olassioal pleoes will be played
besides the latest popular airs In
marches, eto, and all these have been

dance In the Armory, which will be

evergreens, yards and yards of bunting
and it will present a delightful appear
