William Jennings Bryau includes
addresses in the Willamette valley.
As the dates are now arranged,
the distinguished politician and
orator will speak at both Albany and
Salem on Marcn 28. Notifications
have been sent to these towns and It Is
expected that large and enthusiastic
orows will gather at each point, larger
fact than when Mr. Bryan spoke at
Lebanon two years ago.

Rnseburg announcing tha' the nnit of
G. Warner vs Bruneao A Jennings
Bros, was decided in favor ot the de
fendants. This waa a salt to deter
mine (the ownership of the Helena
mine, in the Bohemia mining dlstrlot,
which Is probably the richest mine on
the Paoltto Coast. Ninety-five per
oent of the people here are aatl fled

Brosbave ran out 5O0 fet of tunnels,
and have expended about $12,000 in
labor and machinery, and have at the
present time $200,000 In sight. The
mill will be started at once, and It la
estimated that $10,000 wlli;be the clean

WARNER VS. BRUNEAU.
The Big Bohemia Mining Case
Was Won by the Defendants.

Shortly before 8 o'clock the jury
brought In a verdict for the defend

being out tbr e hoars. The attorneys
f ir the plaint Id' at once rove notice of
a motion tor a new trial, and were
given until Thursday to do so.
The Bohemia mining case of G. G.
Warner et al, Is now In the hands of
the jury. The evhteupe was all In
shortly before noon Saturday, and
court was continued In session until
far into the night that day In an at-
tempt to give the case to the jury
before Sunday. The arguments of the
counsel were completed finally, but
the Instructions of tin oniirt were not
delivered until this morning. These
were quite leugthy and the counsel on
both aides noted many exceptions to
tholaw as laid down ny the juae,
thus laying the basis for aa appeal,
no matter which side secures the ver
dlot.
Bryan Will Visit Portland.

Senator Turner, of Seattle, baa receiv
ed word from Colonel William i. Bry

has been filed in the Multnomah
county circuit court: "Earl Fruit
Company against Norris Humphreys
to recover $840. The plaintiff alleges
that It expended this ainountof money
for the benefit of the defendant at
various times between August 10 and

Ebenezcr Blachley.
The death of one of the oldest
pioneers of Oregon and Lane county
occurred today. Ebeuezer Blanhley
died at the home of C. M. January, 11
miles rorth of this city, on the river
road, at 6:80 this morning, of old age,
aged 90 years, 8 months and 18 days.
Deceased was well and favorably
known, leaves three sons and one
daughter and a hoe t of other relatives
and friends.
The funeral will be held at 1 o'olock
tomorrow afternoon to tbe Eugene
Mason lo cemetery, Rev. Bell, of Juno
tlan, officiating.;
