should giv him the opportunity to

a purely personal standpoint.
No one will question Mr, Eakin'a
prosperity. But how about the
farmer and hopgrowerf Wheat is
the prinoipal crop marketed by the
firmer. Since the last harvest the
price of that cereal has fluctuated
from 88 to 42 cents a bushel, being
quoted' now, in Kugtne, ..... at
forty oenta.- .Mr, Eakln spent
hit boyhood days on a farm and
knows the profits that accrue lor
farming. Would he be willing , to
step out of that bank and take, the

gin. With a steadily decreasing
yield, and a 40 cent price, the
farmer la not investing in govern
ment bonds. It take all hi
