Taylor left on this morning's looal for
Portlund where he goes to purchase a
new engine for his saw mill. The
engine he has now Ib not large enough
to do his work.. He will purchase
about a 40-horse power engine aud
have it shipped here immediately. He
has u contract now from the railroad
company to deliver to this city 5,000
railroad ties. Besides this he bus a
number of smaller orders, from d lifer
ent parts of the country that cannot be
delayed.
