Record: A barn belonging to Mr J
Jj Lombard, who lives seven miles
southwest of this city, was burned
Tuesday night of last wck under clr.
oumstnnces that would lead one to
believe that the fire was of Incendiary
rigin.
Two horses were con lined in the
barn previous to the Are, one the prop
erty of Mr Lombard and the other be
longing to a neighbor. After the Ore
it developed that the one belonging to
Mr Lombard had perished but toe
oilier had been turned out in tho pas
ture. A bottle which had contained
coal oil was ulso found a short distance
from the ruins.
The bam contained In addition to
the horse, 15 or 20 tons of hay, UOi
bushels of grain, a wagon and harness
and a number of other articles, lu all
amounting to about $700, with uo in
surance. Mr Lombard wei lu town
wheu the lire occurred.
