While aM thia work will not be completed for ten days yet, the heaviest, wersi part of it is ever now, and we fool that baginning Monday even* ing we can give our readers, a cleaner printed paper, delivered m'l.h earlier by carrier, than ever before. Onr perfecting press is apparently working in good order and is an excellent machine » all respects. We realise that the Guard's circulation outgrew its plant more than a year ago and that we have not been able to handle it satisfactory to ourselves or our patrons, bnt delayed buying new equipment until such time as we could fully satisfy ourselves as to the requirements of the field, finally deciding to install ma chinery that would print a creditable paper in a city of 30,009 people. We behove that lugene is going to grow just as fast in the future as it has in the past five years, and that onr equip ment win be kept busy handling increased business within the next year or two. At this time The Guard is adding a new job press to its plant as well as the newspaper press, and is preparin gto take care of its growing patronage in every lino of the combined publishing business.
