Pacific aud Southern Pacific line* today voted to complete n,,
double tracking of their line« from the Miaaouri river to b.ln
Francisco. They al«o voted to double track the Oregon Short
Line front its junction with the Union Pacific main line at Grun-
ger, Wyo., to Huntington. Oregon; also the line along the Coluiu-
bia river in Oregon to Portland.
The cost of the double tracking will aggregate upward of
175,000,000, and the work will extend through a period of five
years.
