Sept. 14.—The small son of Charles Kivett. living on North D street, met with a severe aecident Monday that nearly made J riu a cripple for life. It seems that he and some playmates were playing about a revolving gasoline woodsew. The boy endeavored to push the car riage up toward the saw and was un able with his hands alone, so endeav ored to place his knee against it. The carriage moved forward and the saw tore the boy’s knee. The wound was almost over the knee cap but did not cut deep enough to nrake a permanent injury. Several stitches had to be taken by the local doctors and the boy will keep still for sev- eral days. F OR SALE—Gentie uav mare, nino years old; well broke double or sin gle.
