H. Harriman before his relapse of last Sunday was J. P. Morgan. The financier came to Arden House Thursday of last week, when an encouraging improvement was noted in Harri man s condition, and in spite of his bodily weakness, the head of the Union Pacific System was as well fitted to discuss bus iness as at any time in his life. For nearly two hours the two leaders of American finance sat on the porch Sunday, and it is believed that at this conference plans were laid to support the financial market in event of Harriman’s death or in case his health forced him to abandon his business activity. When tl’’3 conference occurred Harriman knew he was a dying man, although he kept the information from his family, and stead fastly encouraged their telief in his ultimate recovery.
