Philadelphia, Sept. 23
Fog was
responsible for a head-on collision
between two cars between this city
and Chester in which about 50 were
injured, several probably fatally. One
car contained seventy-two employes
of the Baldwin Locomotive Works
and was speeding along a single
track when a car from Chester loom­
ed up In the fog
Before the brakes
could be applied there was an awful
crash.
