sawmill property. A complete remod­
elling of the lumber yard at the mill
has been decided upon, and the
changes are now being made. There

the capacity of the mill, now 30,000
feet daily, will be increased to 100,-

be provided for at a comparatively
small expense. Logs are now arriv­
ing down the Willamette in large

GOVERNOR'S TROPHY
Salem, July 24.—The governor’s
trophy match, the most coveted prize
in the state militia rifle shoot, was
captured this afternoon by the team
composed of eight picked men of the
Fourth Regiment Infantry by a total
of 53 points over all ranges. The ag­
gregate of the Fourth team was 856,
and that of the Third Regiment team
803. The teams were composed as
follows:

Major Hamlin, Lieutenant Stewart.
Corporal Perdew, Private Shields,
Captain Houck, Corporal Ferguson.
