The new foundry proposition was
brought up at the (' -mmerclal Club

They propose establishing a complete

New Electric Plant.
The News learns from a reliable
source that the machinery, Including
the large dynamos at the electric
plant, have been Bold to a Portland
firm, and that it will be replaced by
new machinery of a more up to -fate
kind and
greater
capacity.
The
change has been made owing to the
Inadequacy of the present power. At
present the
power ‘furnished has
been overloaded and the light ser
vice has been very poor, and with the
addition of the car Bervice it would
be impossible to furuish the neces-
stry amount of eurrent, thus the
change.
