A serious accident
occurred a^
Green Eawver’s home at Monroe last
week
The children w^re alone in
the house aud it Is supposed the
youngest child. age«l ubout two years,
was standing too close to the stove
and her dress was sucked in’» the
flames.
Her nine-year-old sister
threw a couple of pans of Water on
the flames and soon extinguished
them, but the child was burnt severe
ly. The flames caught in her hair
and blazed above her head. She wa«
badly burnt on the side of her face,
eat», lips, and under the arm. It de
veloped later that her mouth and the)
upper part of her throat was burned. •
