SPLENDID RECORD GF SHERIFF FRED FISK For Two Weeks Every One Sending I Fred Fisk, sheriff of Laue county aud nominated for re-election to that office, haring Iwen elected two years ago as sheriff, after having filled out the unexpired term of the ¡late Sher iff Withers, is well known to the cit izens of Lane county. Coming to Eugene when a lad of fotirteen.be has lived the past eighteen year» among us, passing his boyhood aud school days here aud growing from boy to manhood. Personally Fred Fisk has ever proved himself a mail of sterliug qualities, having the respect and confidence of all who know him. He is industrious, a maiikif g, od habits and clean life, of an even temper ament, the same every day and always with a good will aud good word for every one. Officially Fred Fisk has made one of the best sheriffs that lanie county has ever had. He has handled the affairs of his office in an economical and business like manner. He takes a special pride in his work and is ably fitted to perform the same. As tax collector he bandies from 321X1,- 000 to $300,000 each year, aud the ex perts employed by the county have ever found his records in the best of condition,free from error and kept in accurate form. On May 4 the Annapolis crew de feated the crew from Yale in a two- mile race on the Severn. Davis oc copied seventh position in his crew.
