The President was met and given an enthusiastic wel come by thousands of citizens. He will be the guest of the city during his visit. A dinner will be given him at tho Charleston Hotel tonight. C ,Ireland, April 8.—A largely attended meeting was held here last night for the purpose of expressing sympathy with the Boers. The speeches were mainly of an inflam matory nature.
