MINING LOCATIONS.
C anton . Ohio, Sept 18.—The funeral train was met
everywhere by thousand:) of people all along the route.
However the climax of the demonstrations was reached
when the train passed Alliance, Ohio, from which place to
Canton the people were massed on both sides of tho track
continuously, a distance ot over eighteen miles. As the
train spoil along the people stood with uncovered and bowed
heads. It is impossible to estimate tho number of [>ooplo
there ma-sed. No similar demonstration was ever known
in tho history ot the world. Many of the people «new tho
dead chieftain personally and strong men, women and
childreu wept. It was a may iiiticeut tribute to ono whom
they loved and honored.
The casket upon arriving here was borne to the court
house for funeral services.
Mrs McKinley went to tho old homo and was soon
asleep.
