, June 6.—Mrs John Stallion of this city assis­
ted by her sons killed her grown daughter by crushing her
head with a poker. The body was thrown into the Mis­
sissippi River.
The mother was jealous of her daughter’s beauty and
popularity in the social circles in which they moved. There
is talk of lynching the murderers.
THE INSANITY DODGE.

C , Mo, June 6.—Mrs Kennedy under in­
dictment for the murder of her husband was arraigned in
court today for trial.
She entered a plea of not guilty, alleging that the deed
was committed while she was in a frenzy of insanity.
