P. H. Murphy and Mrs. Murphy,
who have been visiting in this city for
the last month, returned to their home
in Grass Valley, Sherman county, yes
terday. They have been the guests of
Willis M. Dugger while here. Mr.
Murphy is the deaf and dumb man
who will be remembered in Independ
ence lately. Mr. Murphy is pleased
with this section of tlic valley and it is
possible that he will remove here to
aaake his home.

The bride wore a costume of golden
brown silk trimmed in white luce, with
orange blsom in her hair, and car
ried white carnation. The brides
maid wore figured silk mull, and car
ried white narcissi!. The parlors
throughout were decorated in yellow
daffodil and evergreen. A lap lunch
wa served in the parlor and coffee mid
orange in the dining room, with the
bride' cake. Only relative and par
ticular friends were resent. The bride
and groom took their departure for
their future home in Baker City, on
